踏腳石 - 退化性膝關節炎患者的棲息地

記得是1999年初春，甫結束瑞士伯恩大學附設醫院的兩週觀摩學習，在開往德國 Koblenz 的火車上，望著窗外野花盛開的原野，腦中，探索「退化性膝關節炎」的研究主題一一湧現！

盯著當時寫下的近二十個主題以及『內側摩擦現象』致病機轉草圖，斑剝泛黃的稿紙以及逐漸鮮活的片段記憶，激起內心無限感慨 ..... 

就在這春暖花開的五月天，支持我在15年前所提出、針對「退化性膝關節炎」致病機轉假說的最後一篇重要論文，終於在歷經五年的嚴格檢視、漫長等待後，為內科領域的重要雜誌 Medicine 接受刊出 (相關領域排名：15/153, IF : 5.723）：

緊接者，說明『內側皺襞』與股骨內髁重複摩擦所引起的『內側摩擦現象』在膝關節軟骨「退化」扮演的角色的論文也被 Medical Hypotheses 接受刊登：

沒想到，好消息接踵而至，去年受邀攥寫的『膝關節健康促進方案』相關論文也被 Healthy Ageing Research 接受，即將刊出：

終於，十五年前在巴伐利亞原野上奔馳的火車上構思的大膽假說：

『內側皺襞』與股骨內髁的重複摩擦引起的『內側摩擦現象』，是導致膝關節軟骨逐漸破壞（退化）的重要原因

在經過數年來的無數挑戰、驗證、挫折、心靈考驗後，十二篇論文，已全員到齊：

看似簡單的理論，將逐漸改變許多治療「退化性膝關節炎」的現況：

1. 「退化性膝關節炎」將成為一個含糊、不負責任的病名，誤導了大眾認為這是自然老化的現象，只能拖延，無法治癒。
2. 過去醫界無法理解「退化性膝關節炎」關節軟骨逐漸崩壞的過程，已可用『內側摩擦現象』做完整解釋。
3. 過去醫界無法解釋「退化性膝關節炎」的各種臨床症狀，也可用『內側摩擦現象』引發的『內側摩擦症候群』做完整解釋。
4. 對於中老年（> 40歲）的膝痛求診病患，醫師應將最常見、可治療的『內側摩擦症候群』納入鑑別診斷，以免延誤病情。
5. 「退化性膝關節炎」不再是無法醫治的病痛，只要能早期診斷是否有『內側摩擦現象』引發的『內側摩擦症候群』，就有治癒的機會。
6. 大部分因膝痛、緊繃、關節腫脹、行動困難，而被診斷為「退化性膝關節炎」的病患，其實是罹患了『內側摩擦現象』引發的『內側摩擦症候群』，可經由『膝關節健康促進方案』得到確實的治療。

在這漸趨紛擾的社會，灰色地帶往往為逐利者帶來無限的想像空間，「退化性膝關節炎」的各種治療版本也因此推陳出新，引起不少混淆。花錢事小，因此延誤病情，就得不償失了！
