Dr. Lyu, I asked my wife she told me only the 1st and 2nd time of her baby birth she felt the enlargement (soreness of pelvic area)of her pelvic bone, the third time she didn't feel the soreness of pelvic bone even the baby was a little overweight. so the pelvic bone enlargement at most happened to the 1st and 2nd child birth. It's really an interesting story! But, wife's talk might not be a scientific evidence. During childbirth, the sacroiliac joint and symphsis pubis do have some flexibility of opening. After that, it will return to its normal position. I couldn't find any information about the pelvic bone enlargment after childbirth.

You are right!
It's a commercial and psychosocial issue. Too many people get profits and benefits from these products. They do soothe many family relationships by providing them to one's old parents.
